New Branding Options for POS Customer Display

With POS 10.0 and Customer View 2.0, you can:

  • Upload your logo and background image for the idle screen
  • Adjust logo size and background overlay opacity

  • All customizations are managed in the Display Editor in Admin

When a customer buys multiple units of a product, Shopify can now split fulfillment across locations. This prevents overselling at a single location and improves inventory accuracy.

Add-to-Cart Limit Setting

A new admin setting lets you restrict the maximum quantity of a single product per cart. This helps prevent accidental inventory reveals and large, unfulfillable orders. The default is set based on your order history, but you can adjust it anytime under Settings > Checkout.

Reverse Charge VAT Expanded to the UK

The reverse charge VAT exemption now applies to B2B orders shipped from the EU to the UK. When enabled, VAT is fully exempt and the reverse charge is printed on VAT invoices for Shopify Tax users. No action is needed if you already use this exemption.

Deprecation: Dark Mode on POS Terminal

Dark mode is no longer available on POS Terminal and Customer View app as of POS 10.0. Merchants are encouraged to use the new color theming options for a branded experience.
